135047 - Using a drop down menu in Mail\Account settings: parent window dissapears and widget remains in front of 3 pane window

I think this might be due to mdn landing? not sure.

This only happens on NT 4.0 or Win 98. This does not appear
in XP/2k on the builds I saw. Mac/Linux builds are also ok.

I've narrowed it to 2002-03-29-18-trunk/. The 3-28-10 trunk
works fine on NT 4.0. You can also see this in the current
builds: 2002-04-02-10-trunk/

Problem:
 If you go into Mail/Newsgroup Account settings and select any
 drop down menu item (from Server Settings or 
 Copies & Folders or Addressing or Return Receipts),
 the Mail/Newsgroup Account Settings window dissapears and menu item
 list appears in front of 3 pane messenger window. As soon as you select
 the item on the list and then click on any part of 3 pane window,
 Mail/Newsgroup Account Settings window reappears.

 If Bring up the Preferences window (Edit|Preferences) from either
 browser or messenger, I don't see this problem (i.e Return receipts
 drop down menu works fine in there just not under mail/newsgroup act settings)

Steps to reproduce:
1.Install latest trunk build on NT 4.0 or Win98 only.
2.Migrate or create a new mail account.
3.Login to mail account (don't have to)
4.Bring up Mail/Newsgroup Account settings via file menu or
  from account settings page
5.Go to either Server Settings or Addressing or Return Receipts
  or Copies&Folders
6.Select drop down menus:
    Server settings: When I delete mesgs
    Copies&Folders: any of drop down menus
    Addressing: use different ldap server
    Return Receipts: Allow return receipts for some messages

Result: mail/newsgroup act settings window dissapears
        drop down list appears in front of 3 pane window
expected: to select the drop down list in front of the mail/newsgroup 
          act settings window

Tried this in both modern/classic. Tried migrated/brand new
profiles. Somehow Mail&Newsgroup Account Settings window loses
focus?

Also noticed, if I shrink the size of messenger
window so that it's smaller than Mail&Newsgroup Account settings
Window and choose a drop down menu item:focus is then
switched to messenger and I can see Mail&Newsgroup Account settings
in background.

This sounds just like 134968.  Syd tells me he sees it in the compose window as
well.
