You seem to be running either a self-compiled version of Firefox or one from your distro, because the stacks in those crash reports don't have symbols, so they basically don't tell us anything. Do you see these crashes if you use a build distributed from https://beta.mozilla.org/ ?

I downloaded this: https://download.mozilla.org/?product=firefox-53.0b6-SSL&os=linux64&lang=en-US And here is new crash: bp-d0fd06ed-60ca-458b-ba1a-e941e2170327 I don't see any more information in this report. Those stacks are all different somehow. I do not have any noticeable problems with other software on my laptop.

Indeed. I don't understand why - Mike, do you know? AFAICT the buildid reported in the crash matches the linux-x64 53b6 buildid, so I assume the firefox instance crashing is the 'right' one (so I don't understand why there's no symbols for it).

Looks like something is going wrong with symbols for beta builds, since the modules list in that last crash report *does* have the valid fileid for libxul.so in that build of 53.0b6 build.

All those 3 crashes are in different places, which is a bit surprising, but all of them are in graphics-land. 2 have extant bugs filed about them. Milan, can you make anything out of this? Reporter, the 2 other bugs on file already are either related to BSD (no semaphore implementation) or to restricted Docker environments (no shared memory functionality so e10s is busted). Is there anything about the environment in which you're running Firefox (that you're aware of) that might cause similar issues?

Bingo! I have been happily running Firefox inside Docker for several years here. Are these recent additions to Docker or Firefox? Suppose something changed in Docker environment, did it? Or is it some Firefox optimizations? Could I please continue running Firefox inside Docker?

I set: browser.tabs.remote.autostart;false browser.tabs.remote.autostart.2;false Crashes stopped. Is there a Docker related bug? Will e10s never support this configuration? Either way I am happy to see Firefox stable again. Thanks
Running a mozregression would really help us here, to see what changed - if it is Firefox vs. Docker itself. It could be compositor process (does the problem go away when you set layers.gpu-process.enabled to false in about:config, but leave the *.autostart.* ones at the default values?), switch to Skia or something else graphics, or not graphics at all.

This is a duplicate of https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1338771 Docker's --ipc=host solves this issue.
