the latest builds of mozilla seem to be having problems accessing certificates on my activcard smartcard. The symptom is that when I start my mail reader to access my mail server through ssl client-auth, I see the smartcard get accessed, then I'm prompted to enter in my LDAP username/password. (meaning that mozilla couldn't locate my certificate). If I then log into the PKCS#11 module (using Edit->Prefs->Security->Device manager->activcard->log in) I'm prompted to enter my smartcard PIN and then I'm able to access websites and mail servers that require cert-auth.
Looks like a dupe of bug 128409.
Confirming.

I notice the code line is different when attempting to sign mail messages using the smartcard. If the user has not logged into the card, the mail client correctly prompts the user to log in.
