Just noticed this today. See screenshot. If I hide the panel, there's no indication a download is taking place in the arrow icon. Maybe that element should throb in some way when there are active downloads?

Paolo, was this part of the design of the new styling of the icon? Seems like a regression to me...

Hi! There isn't a clear outcome here yet, as far as I can tell. It might be easier to start with bugs where there's a more obvious desired outcome. https://www.joshmatthews.net/bugsahoy/?ff=1&unowned=1 might be a good place to start looking for those.

It's not a regression because this has always been the case. Because of this it was taken out of the MVP, see bug 1296554 comment 3. It would be good to see it fixed, but we'll need a visual design that is easy to implement.
The Photon Downloads Indicator design will solve this issue.
