Phone numbers are often stored in QR codes so we should make sure we honour the expected action when scanning. => Visit http://the-qrcode-generator.com, tap Phone, enter your phone number. => Scan the code => See prompt to call, tap call => Tapping call does nothing

I try to reproduce this bug, the process is as follows Device: iPhone 6Plus(10.2.1) => Visit http://the-qrcode-generator.com, tap Phone, enter my phone number. => Scan the code => See prompt to call, tap call(this prompt from Firefox) => See prompt to call, tap call(this prompt from System) => The call was successful I can call successfully, but i still think there are some problems in here If i was using a device without calling support, there should not be prompt to call

(In reply to Aaron Train [:aaronmt] from comment #2) > What is the needinfo? for? Aaron, how many prompts have you seen? I saw two prompts, the first one is from Firefox for iOS, and the second one is from the system as @lyang mentioned in comment #1. Have you seen the system prompt after you tapping "call" in the first prompt? Actions from our competitors in China when scanning the QR Code with phone number: 1. UC Browser ---------------- Giving a new page to ask user what to do, pls refer to the attachment uc_qr_prompt.png. 2. QQ Browser ---------------- Giving a list, after tapping on the number in the list, system prompt pops up. Pls refer to the attachment qq_qr_prompt.png. 3. Baidu Browser ----------------- Do nothing, no prompt shows. 4. Sogou Browser ----------------- 2 prompts, first one is from Sogou browser, the second one is from the system. Tap on "call" in the first one, then system prompt shows. As far as I know, if we want to make a call, system prompt is the only way. Our prompt just call the system prompt. So could we just skip the first prompt, and directly call the system prompt when scanning a QR Code with phone number?

Not a very common use case
Severity: normal → S3

Works for me on iPhone SE (A2296) with iOS 15.6.1 and Firefox 105.1 (19787).
