[Affected versions]: Nightly 55.0a1 [Affected platforms]: Platforms: Windows 10 x 64, Mac OS X 10.12 and Ubuntu 16.04 x64. [Steps to reproduce]: 1. Launch Firefox, go to about:config and search for "browser.preferences.search" and set it value to true. 2. Go to "about:preferences". 3. Click on "Updates" from the left menu and observe "Check for updates" button. 3. Search "update" on search input field. 4. Click Privacy & Security Panel [Expected result]: "Check for updates" button should be displayed and highlighted after searching for "update" in search field. [Actual result]: One of these two scenarios happened: 1. "Check for updates" button is displayed empty after searching for "update" in search field. 2. "Check for updates" button is not displayed and it's stuck at applying update.

Found out the root cause. This bug could be fixed by Bug 1365847's patch because the `updateBox` also has the desk issue.
