User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:55.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/55.0 Build ID: 20170602030204 Steps to reproduce: I upgraded Nightly Actual results: The menu bar became black. "Normal" menu text became white but folder menus (i.e bookmark folders on the menu bar) are now black text on a black background. Screen shot attached shows "actual result". (A possibly related issue happened on the same day that appeared to be a website's CSS failing silently has now been resolved, so it could have been the site having a problem.) Expected results: The menu bar should not have changed colour. The text for folder menus should at least have remained readable.
55.0a1 (2017-06-02) (64-bit) has the bug. It landed about three days ago, I think.

I can't reproduce it. Is it reproducible in safe mode? https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/troubleshoot-firefox-issues-using-safe-mode And with a fresh profile? (you will need to populate the bookmarks toolbar with random bookmarks to test) https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/profile-manager-create-and-remove-firefox-profiles

Hi, Here's some better steps to reproduce. Start up Firefox Nightly with a new profile. Go into Customize Enable both Menubar and Bookmarks Toolbar Drag the marker for the Bookmarks Toolbar up to the Menubar Disable the Bookmarks Toolbar Exit Customize Screenshots attached: 01_before-moving.png - Customize, before moving the Bookmarks Toolbar marker 02_after_moving.png - Customize, after moving the Bookmarks Toolbar marker 03_inplace.png - After exiting customize, just showing the Bookmarks Toolbar in place 04_bookmarks_toolbar.png - The bookmarks menu version of the Bookmarks Toolbar

> Is it reproducible in safe mode? > https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/troubleshoot-firefox-issues-using-safe-mode Yes - safe mode made no difference. > And with a fresh profile? (you will need to populate the bookmarks toolbar with random bookmarks to test) > https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/profile-manager-create-and-remove-firefox-profiles As above, fresh profile made no difference. Hopefully now I've tried it with a fresh profile, the steps I listed will help spot the problem.
Thanks for the STR. I tested with FF5 on Win 7 64b, I can't reproduce it (I guess you are using the dark theme). Maybe it's specific to the Win 10 platform.

Hi, I'd guess the Win10 issue is more likely. I'm using the default theme (see attachment). On Win10, I'm using the "Start8" Start Menu and Task Bar replacement, which may also add to the confusion. Thanks -- Peter

Just edited to point out "55.0a1 (2017-06-03) (64-bit)" I'm running the 64bit nightly build, not the 32bit one.
Summary: Folder menu text is black on now black menu bar → Bookmarks Toolbar text is black on (now black) Menubar
Thanks for the detailed information! I think this is a dupe of bug 1368818.

Agreed. Just to note that "Title bar" is misleading, as it's the menubar that's the issue. My Windows title bar is white on a blue background; the menubar is showing - only in Firefox - as white on a black background; in other applications (e.g. Windows Notepad), my menubar is black on a white background.
