When sending a mail from a template that contains images or a background image,
works without any problems, however, if I add it to a filter function, and tells the filter to autoreply with template, the mail that are sent isn't correctly encoded, and the whole MIME code is visible in the receiving end.
but not the picture / background image that suppose to be there. (see attached image).
Now I'm not an experienced programmer, but I'm wondering why this bug report has been here for a couple of years, and not even been assigned to somebody..
The reason I labeled this a "blocker" is that it causes a stop in the auto answer function on my website...
otherwise it's the same error as described below...
This causes a delay in the auto answer function on my website.

+++ This bug was initially created as a clone of Bug #1178744 +++
User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.0; rv:38.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/38.0
Build ID: 20150525141253
Steps to reproduce:
Create a Template with embedded image in content.
Create a filter to act as eg: Out of Office and use Reply with Template choosing the saved template.
Test 1:
right click on the template and select 'Edit as new message' and send to my other email address.
Test 2:
Send email so that the filter acts and responds using the same template email sending between the same two email addresses.
Actual results:
Test 1:
Email sent and received as expected showing image.
Test 2:
Email sent ok. Filter runs ok. Received email does not show image. It looks like it is a broken image if the image is a jpg. If image was a gif then no image and no broken image box.
Expected results:
Images should display regardless of whether template email is sent via auto responder or manually.
I have no problems with receiving or sending embedded or attached images except when using a Message filter to reply using a template with image.
I compose in HTML and send both HTML and Plain Text.
TEst 1: email send in both as seen in View source.
Test 2; seems to only send in HTML.

Do you mean one of these? https://mzl.la/2srf7ZM

Yeah, sorry for the faulty blocker marking, i missed the info page.
About the second i was referring mostly to the one that I cloned.
I mean, to me this bug is the deal/break situation for me, and everybody that uses the
filter function (with auto response).
now I'm not any expert in programming, but since it works to send the templates manually
but not with auto reply, i guess it's a minor typo in the code?, that's if the auto reply uses
the same process to encode as the "normal" does..

Yon can get the auto-reply to contain an image if you use a data: URL, see bug 1370076 comment #14 and before.
Other than that, this is a duplicate of bug 647210.
