Probably a dupe of bug 1332867.

Yes it is a dupe. I thought the datepicker used to open when clicking on the date, but it seems that I misremembered. I have the same situation as in the "broken" example in the screenshot on bug #1332867
I'm using XFCE with libgtk packages v3.20.9-1ubuntu2.1
I'm not sure I can mark this bug as a dupe, feel free to do it.

sylvainfaivre, please install Thunderbird 52.2.0, released on June 14, 2017. If it is the same problem as described in bug 1332867, it should be fixed in this release.
