BuildID: 2002041217 PNGs with index-transparency always seem to get white background, no matter what color the actual background is. Alpha-channel PNGs are usually even worse, as those get black background that sometimes has garbage in it (I guess it's uncleaned memory, but zero happens to be in majority). Print Preview seems to display images with random backgrounds - sometimes images are displayed correctly, sometimes with black/garbage backgrounds. Scrolling in preview may make the background displayed in preview different (broken or correct). Sometimes preview displays everything correctly, even when scrolling. The example website has different types of images and also demonstrates some other printing problems too. However, the transparency problem also appears when directly viewing an image and then printing it (instead of printing a HTML page with image in it). Same problems are also visible on this site: http://entropymine.com/jason/testbed/pngtrans/ I have seen this bug in older, and recent, builds of Moz, on W98, NT and Linux, with many printers (all B&W lasers). Reproducible: Always and 100 % in actual print; sometimes, 0-100 %, in preview
Can confirm this with 1.1a+, ID 2002061712 on Win95 and 1.0 on Win98. Images (GIF and PNG) which are transparent in browser *and* in the print preview aren't printed transparent but with white opaque background. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Go to the test-URL http://www.eyrich-net.org/tests/printtest.html 2. Print page (with background images on) Actual Results: No transparent balloons. Expected Results: Transparent balloons.
