Ability to create and view "Links" to other Calendar and Mozilla Sections Links could be small "chain" symbols next to entries that have link(s) to other entries. It would therefore be possible to link an appointment to a client's address, a "call" made to that client, and/or an e-mail(s) sent to/from a colleague. Clicking a link symbol would yield a dropdown list of links to that entry. Clicking on a item in the dropdown list takes the user to *that* entry - which in turn may have its own links to other places. See screenshot(s) for clarity.

NOTE: These Links were made visible by clicking on the top chain-link symbol next to an entry in my "ToDo" list. Notice that the first item (Standesamt...) has its arrow (far right) depressed, and that reveals the links associated with that link (nested access to linked links). All this interconnectivity from just one little iconic symbol - awesome. FYI. The yellow phone icons symbolize "Calls"; the portrait symbols symbolize "Address Book" entries. Fine touches linke this should exist and be consistent throughout Calendar and Mozilla. :)

Clicking on "Create Link" and then hovering over a linkable event (schedule, call, AB entry) changes the curser to a hand with a chain coming out of one side. Clicking on that entry changes the hand to have a link come out of both sides - prompting the user to click another enty, thus creating a link between two entries. Very elegant. :)

For project management I'm hoping I can create a project description as a task and use events to log my time spent completing the project. I'm not sure if the proposed bug fix will support this... I would like to be able to link multiple events back to a task.

BTW: The idea for this and the screenshots come from Lotus Organizer 6 (the best PIM in the universe - unfortunately no longer been developed for 5+ years).

Lotus Organizer (the best PIM ever) shows links in a person's contact page (on the right side of the screen-shot) to other contacts, to anniversaries, events, calls, etc. In some cases, these links are automatically created.

I think part of this is in bug #214377

When fixing this bug, it should also be taken care that events and tasks can reference other events and tasks, as noted in duplicate bug 214377.
