User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:54.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/54.0
Build ID: 20170630112252
Steps to reproduce:
1. Enable the (new?) config option to edit events and tasks in a tab instead of a dialog
2. open an event, in a tab
3. Press Ctrl+L to save & close the event
Actual results:
nothing happens
Expected results:
like in the dialog view, Ctrl+L should save & close. Otherwise, I seem to have to use the mouse or the menu via Alt/Accelerator keys.

report from closed duplicate bug 1841388
Steps to reproduce:
In 115 beta, if you enable the setting to create new calendar events in a tab rather than a dialog window, and then create an event, neither the "Save and close" button nor the "X" for the event tab do anything. It's not even possible to close the main Thunderbird window.
in 129.0a1 (2024-06-28) (64-bit) @ Win10-64bit :
- I can reproduce:
save and closebutton does not work - click
Xon tab closes the tab (cannot reproduce "X for event tab does not do anything") - click
Xin main window closes main window (cannot reproduce "It's not even possible to close the main Thunderbird window.")
