When collapsing a thread containing starred messages, star does not show up in the thread display, unless the first message in the thread was starred. This used to work on 45.8.0 (tested on Debian Stretch), but not on 52.2.1 (Ubuntu 16.04.02)

This doesn't work for me on Windows with version 45.8.0. If it worked for you, then I suggest it was because of an addon.
