To make measuring easier there should be a way to let the Measuring Tool area snap to the borders of the elements on the page. This could be achieved by holding down a modifier like Ctrl while sizing or dragging the area. When the area is snapped at some edge or point, there should be an indication for it. Sebastian

I would ideally like to be able to snap to various things:
- edges of lineboxes
- borders (inner and outer edges)
- content boxes (if that's the right phrase: I mean the inside of the padding)
- (probably the tricky one?) changes in colour which aren't strictly to do with DOM layout, like a colour change in a background image, or where the painted text actually starts (as opposed to where the linebox starts -- there might be extra space there due to font metrics mumbojumbo).
- probably more?
