Steps to reproduce:

It would be very helpful if live bookmarks were shown bold or with "(1)" appended to their name if there is a new unread item in the feed.

How am I supposed to know otherwise that there is a new item I haven't yet seen?

Bug 260849 says it's solved and tracked by new icons. But not for me. Can anyone confirm?

May I suggest that the mother item should also be marked read if all its children are marked read?

Wontfixing because live bookmarks are going away - See Bug 1477667.
