Steps how to reproduce with unzipped installer of official en-US SeaMonkey 2.54a1 (NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:57.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/57.0 Build 20170813013143 (Default Classic Theme, German Language Pack active) on German WIN7 64bit: 1. In email client click Inbox (I did for pop3-Account) 2. In Thread Pane select email with attachment (.jpg) 3. Attachment: ˋRithclick → Save asˊ Expected: Files Browser window opens to select folder / file name Actual: Nothing happens 4. Attachment: ˋRithclick → Save allˊ Expected: Files Browser window opens to select folder Actual: Nothing happens or 11. In Browser menu ˋFile→ Open File ...ˊ Expected: Files Browser window opens to select folder / file name Actual: Nothing happens Still worked fine with unzipped installer of official en-US SeaMonkey 2.53a1 (NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:56.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/56.0 Build 20170720014833 (Default Classic Theme, German Language Pack active) on German WIN7 64bit
Confirmed for SM Trunk Linux x86-64 with File->Open File. Easier to test. :) I've noticed this today trying to attach a file to an E-Mail. No filepicker. Safe Mode doesn't help. Well, this one might be related to or depend on bug 796994, but a bug that appeared with 2.54 hardly is a DUP of ab Bug from 2012.
It is. filepicker.show was deprecated then and finally removed in 2.54 with bug 1387800.
