See bug 1392913 for the client code change bug.
The updatev2.manifest support should be removed from the mar generation scripts after the next watershed. It doesn't matter if bug 1392913 or this bug is fixed first... just that this happens after the next watershed.

I've left the mention of updatev2.manifest in list_files and list_dirs for now, similar to how v1 has been left.
