Steps to reproduce:
Since I have updated to 55.0.3 the X in the upper right corner does not close Firefox anymore. I'm using Windows 10. It worked before.
So when I click the X in the upper right corner ...
Actual results:
... the X marked in red gets a little lighter. But Firefox does not close or do anything else.
Expected results:
Firefox closes

sounds like a dupe of bug 1392464
do you have Tab Mix Plus?
if so, does the issue happen if you disable it?

You are right ... i have Tab Mix Plus ... and disabling Tab Mix Plus did resolve the issue. Thx for the quick reply!
