From Bugzilla Helper: User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win98; en-US; rv:1.0rc1) Gecko/20020417 BuildID: 2002041711 Since RC1 it is often not possible to move a bookmark in the sidebar from one position to another (say, in a new folder). Only the grey bar that indicates the position where the bookmark would be inserted (if it would work) will be drawn and remain in that position. In most cases this will be possible within the bookmark manager window at the same time (then also the bookmark in the sidebar will jump to it's new position). Even if it works, sometimes the moved bookmark will not land at the desired position, but only "near" that position: When moving a bookmark to the first position of a subfolder, it may also land outside the folder. The same, when it is moved on a closed folder: most times it will be properly inserted into this folder, sometimes just next to the folder. And this is NOT due to bad coordination of mouse movements ... Reproducible: Sometimes Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open bookmarks in the sidebar 2. Pick a bookmark with the mouse and drag it somewhere else (in a new folder or a different position anywhere in the bookmarks). 3. When it fails, check with the bookmark manager: in most cases moving the bookmark will work here. Actual Results: 1. - 2.: nothing happens to the bookmark. Only the position-indicating grey bar stays in the position selected. 3. in most cases the bookmark is moved, though sometimes it will fail here, too. Then only a restart of Mozilla will help. Expected Results: The bookmark should be moved to the desired position. This did happen with 0.98 + 0.99, but not as frequently.
