STR:
1) Install some WebExtensions, that sets custom color for its badge (i.e. https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/pontoon-tools/).
2) Check the color of the badge in the first window (for Pontoon Tools should be pink when you are not logged in to Pontoon).
3) Open a new window (Ctrl+N).
4) The badge color in the new window is red.

Instead, the color of the badge should be preserved.
Similar to bug 1314674.

The badge is still pink on my Mac with Nightly 2017-09-07. What platform are you on?

I can trigger this using the window resize mentioned in the linked bug. I'm going to dupe this to that one since that one already mentions this case in the linked GitHub issue.

I can reproduce on OS X. I installed Every Event, turned it on (text goes to green), then opened a new window.

:mstriemer I am on Linux. Yes, we can track it there and the resize/customization mode cause would be the same, or even more complicated.

As for Pontoon Tools, I have made a workaround and released it about a day or two ago, but it applies only to new opened windows. It should be still reproducible with the customization mode or window resize there.
