Steps to reproduce:

Open Firefox
Minimize it
reopen it from dock



Actual results:

The close minimize and maximize buttons disappear


Expected results:

They shouldn't disappear. Happens on Nightly and Firefox Developer Edition.

Hi there

I'm having a similar issue, when screenshotted it shows as clear however the top half of the title bar is black and the bottom half is grey. Both of the top corners have small white squares.

I'm running macOS 10.13 (17A365)

Let's keep this bug specific to the buttons disappearing. The other issues with the titlebar are tracked by dependent bugs of bug 1391790. Could you confirm which versions of Firefox exhibit this behavior? Thanks!

Firefox 57 (Developer Edition) and Firefox 58 (Nightly) both have the bug where the buttons disappear. Marc has the light theme enabled if he tries the dark theme and then minimise and reopens it it will most likely cause the buttons to disappear. I’m not sure if the light theme does it too.

This sounds like a dupe of my already filed Bug 1399542.

Is it? You mentioned that the window controls disappear "after browsing for some time" in bug 1399542, which may be a different issue and why I haven't closed this as a duplicate. Feel free to close as duplicate if it is the same issue. Thanks!

Adding affected status. Confirming that this happens on beta as well, as I see it in 57.0b3. I will double check Bug 1399542 to confirm whether or not it is a dupe of this.

In the latest version of Firefox 58 it seems the buttons disappear even with title bar selected. Following the same steps as in the bug report. I have attached a photo to show this. The text is also disappearing.

I can confirm that the title bar bug only happens on 58 not 57 (Developer beta)

It seems the last bug where the buttons disappear even when the title bar is selected is fixed. However the buttons still disappear if title bar isn't selected.

Fixed by bug 1400057. Please verify in 58 and 57 once bug 1400057 has been uplifted.
