In the menu Edit->Preferences I didn't see any option about FTP networking. I
think you may add an option to force passive FTP for compatibility with some
firewalls.

Steps to Reproduce:
according to bug 70442 comment 3 mozilla ONLY do passive FTP?

mozilla doesn't support active transfer

verified - mozilla only does passive ftp, so theres no need for an option.

Yes it does cover it, except for it talking about an option to do active
connections. End result is the same:
A user switch between the connection types
