From Bugzilla Helper: User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; de-AT; rv:0.9.9) Gecko/20020412 Debian/0.9.9-6 BuildID: 20020412 Sometimes the Pause button in the file download dialogue will show fragments of the mozilla logo (upper right corner of the browser) as background of the button image. When this happens, it will occur in all (newly?) opened download dialogues. Usually it happens after the browser has been in use for a while. I get the impression, that the drawing of the pause button accesses a wrong part of the memory? Namely, the part where the images for the animated Mozilla logo are stored? If this is so, I assume, the bug might also cause other instabilities. I am not completely sure, but I think I have seen other buttons affected in the same dialogue. In any case, the pause button (2nd from left) will always be affected. Reproducible: Sometimes Steps to Reproduce: 1. Use the browser. Leave it open. Use it some more. Leave it open. 2. Start downloading files. 3. At some point you will see the bad background. Actual Results: Button is drawn with wrong background that is really fragments of the animated mozilla logo. Expected Results: Accurate drawing of the button. I have seen this bug in versions from 0.9.7 through to RC1 on Windows + Linux, so I think it's system independent.

Hi John, I DID read the instructions and searched for "download dialogue" and "download" and found nothing. Sorry for the inconvenience. This is not the first time something like this happens to me and I get the impression that it is not always easy to find the right search term. Regards Andreas
With respect, you obviously did not search for "download", because that would also have found the bug that I found. Often it takes a couple of searches to find a bug, and occasionally they are very hard to find. Still, you did at least make an effort to find an existing report, so thanks for that.
