User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10.13; rv:58.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/58.0 Build ID: 20171012220111 Steps to reproduce: I have installed Grammarly v8.793.1186 Set auto update of extensions to off Actual results: I tried to install the update to v8.796.1221. Expected results: Firefox displays the message that I need to restart Firefox to apply the update even though Grammarly is a WebExtensions. (see screenshot)
Patrick: I just tried installing it in 58 and it worked for me, but I wasn't trying to update the web extension. Guess I can try to reproduce with a fresh profile.
It was late last night so I didn't try to reproduce it with a fresh profile. This morning I did and I'm able to reproduce it. STR: 1) Start Firefox with a new profile 2) Turn off auto update of extensions 3) Go to https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/grammarly-1/versions/ 4) Install v8.793.1186 5) Go to about:addons and search and download the update for Grammarly
