User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; Win64; x64; rv:58.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/58.0
Build ID: 20171025230440
Steps to reproduce:
Install the attached extension PoC using registry entry in windows.
under the key "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Mozilla\Firefox\Extensions",
Create a string value (SZ) with name "testextension.17@acrobat.adobe.com"
and assign to this the "C\Users\Desktop\full\path\to\attached\extension.xpi"
Launch Nightly(as unsigned extension will not install in FF/Beta).
Click on extension notification and enable extension.
After extension is installed, play with extension on few pages to certify it's working and installed properly.
Now, let Nightly remain launched (don't quit) and delete extension's registry entry.
Quit Nightly.
Launch Nightly.
The extension is still present.
Quit Nightly now and extension dissapears on next launch.
Actual results:
Extension persists on Nightly launch after deleting extension registry entry and is only removed in second launch of Nigltly.
Expected results:
Extension must be removed in first Nightly launch itself after the removing extension's registry entries.
