Right now, we have tons of hacks to figure out what project/branch/train/update channel etc we are. moz.configure doesn't seem to allow to distinguish between release and beta, and in mozconfig files, it's a total free-for-all. This bit me with https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1411608#c4 but it turns up _everywhere_. This ticket tracks deciding what "Nightly" means and uniformizing the plethora of ways to test for it.
