found this while revisiting bug 123415. i couldn't quite find an existing bug on
this, but perhaps i'm running up against [a Mac version of?] bug 50255?
anyhow, if i turn on the pref to allow accel+Enter in urlbar to open links in
new tabs, it works on linux rh7.2 and win2k, but not on mac 10.1.4. (tested
using 2002.05.01.0x-1.0.0 comm branch bits.)
for some reason, i thought this had worked on Mac in the past --i tested with a
build from Feb 2002, but it didn't work. *grumble* however, when i compared with
win2k: a win2k build from Feb 2002 didn't work, but the one from today does.
recipe:
0. make sure the pref "Command+Enter in the Location bar" in the Tabbed Browsing
panel is selected.
1. go to the urlbar and type in a url.
2. hit Command+Enter (or, Command+Return, same thing).
results: the url is loaded in the existing window, no new tab is opened.
expected: a new tab should open and load the url.
