STR:
1. In about:config set layout.display-list.retain to true
2. Navigate to Facebook
3. Start typing in the search bar
4. Hover your friends list on the right
5. Observe
AR: Friends list disappear when hovered
ER: Friends list should not disappear

I have re-tested this issue with the latest Nightly 59.0a1 from 2017-11-13 on Windows 10 x64, Windows 7 x86, Ubuntu 16.04 x64 and Mac OS X 10.13 and I`m no longer able to reproduce it.
Marking this bug as Works for Me.
If anyone is still able to reproduce it, please re-open it and provide more information.
