From Bugzilla Helper: User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.0.0+) Gecko/20020501 BuildID: 2002050107 When changing focus to another mail folder causes the "Do you wish to compact all local and offline folders to save disk space?" confirmation dialog to pop up, moving the mouse over the dialog changes the pointer to the drag'n'drop pointer. A mouse click is required to dispense with the d'n'd cursor and return to normal functionality. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.After some activity on mail folders, open a new folder. 2. 3. Actual Results: Confirmation dialog pops up. Moving the mouse over the dialog changes the pointer to drag'n'drop. No mouse button is depressed. Expected Results: Retain normal cursor and functionality.
Can anyone confirm this? This may be related to 143031, which has a masking fix. Is it possible that a similar fix may work here?

I can still reproduce this bug consistently using Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; de-AT; rv:1.6) Gecko/20040122 Debian/1.6-1 It was visible all the way. Perhaps CONFIRM now? Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Go into Mail&News and select a mail account 2. Delete some mails 3. Quit Mozilla 4. Restart Mozilla 5. Open Mail&News 6. Select an inbox folder 7. Confirm the "Compact folder" dialog. 8. Move cursor Actual Results: D'n'D cursor is shown. Pressing 'Esc' dismisses it. Expected Results: Certainly not an D'n'D cursor.
Confirming, there have been three reports -- all under Linux.

Today i accidently clicked into my local folder list while the drag'n'drop icon was shown. Guess what - the 'inbox' folder of the first POP account was copied *entirely* into the local folder i accidently clicked on! It seems to me that 'compact mail folders' someway starts a real drag'n'drop operation with what happens to be the first inbox folder in the account list.
