Details
I am running Release Candidate 1 of Mozilla (build 2002041711) and cannot get cut & paste to work properly in mail. If I copy text from another application and try and paste it into the message text in mail the paste option is available but if I select it no text is pasted into the message body. Cannot paste using ctrl+v either. If I place the cursor into any other field (i.e. to, subject, etc.) I can paste the text into the field with no problem. Just cannot paste into message body. If I type text into the message body, select it and copy it I can paste this text into the body with no problem. Just seems to be text copied from an external window that cannot be pasted into the mail body.

A similar think happened to me: I tried to copy some text from Mozilla browser and paste it to the body of the message. It did not paste. I tried to paste it to the Subject field and Recipient field and it pasted OK. I tried to paste to other applications (Notepad, Word) and it worked OK. When I copied another text and paste it to the body it worked OK. Then I tried to find out what was the HTML code for the table that it didn't paste. This here is the code that can not be pasted to a new message if opened and copied from Mozilla browser. ----- START --- <span class="m1"> <table width="160" cellpadding="1" cellspacing="0" border="0"> <tr bgcolor="#999999"><td><table width="158" bgcolor="#FFFFFF" cellpadding="3" cellspacing="0" border="0"> <tr><td colspan="2"><a href="/3907">text</a></td></tr> <tr valign="top"><td>text</td><td>text</td></tr> </table></td></tr> </table> </span><br /> ----- END --- I am using Mozilla 1.1 alpha (2002061104) on Win98.
