Details

I am running Release Candidate 1 of Mozilla (build 2002041711) and cannot get
cut & paste to work properly in mail.

If I copy text from another application and try and paste it into the message
text in mail the paste option is available but if I select it no text is pasted
into the message body. Cannot paste using ctrl+v either. If I place the cursor
into any other field (i.e. to, subject, etc.) I can paste the text into the
field with no problem. Just cannot paste into message body.

If I type text into the message body, select it and copy it I can paste this
text into the body with no problem. Just seems to be text copied from an
external window that cannot be pasted into the mail body.

Reporter, could you pleas supply _complete_ information concerning your system ?
System is Toshiba Tecra Laptop with 512mb memory running Microsoft Windows 2000
5.00.2195 with service pack 1. Version of Mozilla is Mozilla 1.0 Release
Candidate 1 Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.0rc1)
Gecko/20020417. Build ID is 2002041711. Let me know if you need any more info.
Thanks.
A similar think happened to me: I tried to copy some text from Mozilla browser
and paste it to the body of the message. It did not paste. I tried to paste it
to the Subject field and Recipient field and it pasted OK. I tried to paste to
other applications (Notepad, Word) and it worked OK.
When I copied another text and paste it to the body it worked OK.

Then I tried to find out what was the HTML code for the table that it didn't paste.
This here is the code that can not be pasted to a new message if opened and
copied from Mozilla browser.

----- START ---
<span class="m1">
<table width="160" cellpadding="1" cellspacing="0" border="0">
<tr bgcolor="#999999"><td><table width="158" bgcolor="#FFFFFF" cellpadding="3"
cellspacing="0" border="0">
<tr><td colspan="2"><a href="/3907">text</a></td></tr>

<tr valign="top"><td>text</td><td>text</td></tr>
</table></td></tr>
</table>
</span><br />
----- END ---

I am using Mozilla 1.1 alpha (2002061104) on Win98.
