Crash creating a new address book card

Win32 release build 1999-09-17-13-m11

1) Start Messenger
2) Tasks | Address Book
3) Create a new card in the personal address book
4) Click OK

Actual results: crash occurs.  Talkback indicent 13623224 although the stack
trace appears very minimal and not useful :-(

Expected results: new address book entry to be created

Isn't this a duplicate of bug 13847 which is a duplicate of 13846?

I do not get a crash but my window does not go away.  It seems that we have bug
14146 which prevents the window from closing on my Mac, possibly causing crashes
on release builds but I am not sure.
On release builds, we also see this "zombie" window bug.

This is working for me today with the latest debug build, and the pref "Debug:
Widget Rendering" set to partial.  Marking as fixed.
Status: RESOLVED → VERIFIED
Using 19991003 on win98 and 19991001 on mac and linux this is fixed.  I was able
to create a new card on all platforms.  Verified
