Seems to affect Linux Debug and DevEdition only. Crashes during selftests are fatal, which means I have no test coverage for the affected builds :(. Same patch from bug 1426791 should work for reproducing.

Will be the same issue and fix as bug 1426791 I think.
Very possible. Our OSX builds are cross-compiles, so no selftests :). I could believe the Linux tests going the same way if they got as far as running tests.
Patch on bug 1426791 should address this.
