142719 - An error occured while creating a message compose window

hi folks, clicking on any of 'compose,reply,reply all,forward' messes up with
the error message: "An error occured while creating a message compose window.
Please try again. R"
tested with a pop3 box and an imap box too, clicking at local folders still do
not work.

this is so annoying, comes in every nightly build from the stable(?:)) moz.1.0..
i reinstalled the whole stuff under WinXP from the beginning, the problem is
still here. I guess it is in connection with the following error at startup:

The procedure entry point ?Mid@nsAString@@QBEIAAV1@II@Z could not be located in
the dynamic link library xpcom.dll

xpcom event reciever

any idea?

never saw this bug myself (XP) - so a hint it to make sure you perform a cleam
install, and also delete all folders except the plugins folder in the
morzilla.org/mozilla directory. (And - if you unzip - make sure you unzip to an
empty dir.)

The "entry point" error message is a duplicate of bug 141438 - see comments there.
(There is also a likely unrelated bug about sending mail failing, bug 134729)
