Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.set up accounts to be checked every 10 minutes
2.send yourself mail, and close the mail/news window
3.wait to be informed about new mail
Actual Results: absolutely nothing happens. mozilla does not check mail every
10 minutes, and therefore does not let you know about the new mail.
Expected Results: the little mailbox icon, etc, to appear to inform me of new mail.
it DOES work fine when mail/news is running. however, mozilla doesnt seem to
ever check mail when only the quicklaunch icon (and/or browser windows) are active.
likely dup of bug 71105
resolving as dup of 134480 since a lot of these reports have been filed recently
