When the download manager has accumulated a long list of downloads,
deleting them by selecting them all and then clicking "remove from list"
is extremely slow. Also, all other mozilla windows are completely blocked
and wont even repaint while this is going on.
I also think download manager should not just accumulate all downloads
forever - this can become a huge list after a while.

Hmm maybe I should have put this differently: this is not only slow
but takes >=50% CPU during the time it is going on. Batching it as in
bug 132013 wont change the problem that a lot of CPU is occupied for
a long time for something as trivial als clearing this list.
Suggesting to reopen.
