Blocking Permission Requests makes it impossible to know whether a site would usually want permissions or not

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:59.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/59.0
Build ID: 20180128191456
Steps to reproduce:
I turned on the "Block new requests asking to access your location" option in about:preferences and then accessed maps.google.com, which does not currently have location permissions but would usually request them
Actual results:
Once there, I had no indication whatsoever that the site wanted my location permission, nor a way to give it without going through the options menu. I only knew the site usually wants location permission from previous experience
Expected results:
There should be a way to stop the usual intrusive permission requests windows, but still allow sites to request "quietly". Personally, I'd suggest the addition of a clickable icon on the left side of the address bar. The user then can know, without having to deal with a prompt that breaks the flow of usage.
