User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; Win64; x64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/63.0.3239.132 Safari/537.36

Steps to reproduce:

1) get size of IMAPMAIL/{accountfolder} using Total Commander or Windows Explorer (143 MB)
2) Main menu - Compact Folders

Actual results:

All MBOX files of local IMAP copies get shrunk correctly, size differs by 43 MB which is saved space.

Statusbar in UI reports totally insane number about 170 GB saved space. The more I save by compacting folder, the more insane number is reported (like tens of thousands gigabytes).

No matter what languague mutation, EN and CS tested.
This behavior is not new, it's a matter of many versions back.
This behavior is same on 130+ installations I manage for my customer's employees or at home.

Expected results:

Report saved space correctly in status bar.
Use proper units "kB" for kilobytes; in this dialogue KB is displayed which stands for "kelvin-bytes".
(Hmm, so you'r managing a (paying?) customer's employees and expect unpaid volunteers to fix your problem?)

Aceman, who is the compaction expert? Are you?

Looks like bug 1260698.

Well, this is baffling - size is reported correctly on my home office computer which also runs Windows 7 and TB 52. Other 130+ machines at work report this incorrectly. So I must admit it cannot be general bug. I'd happily do some more diagnosis for those who will look into it.
We could make you a build of current TB (61) that would on each message deletion print out the information of how much space is kept in deleted messages that would save by compaction.
You could spot any oddities, e.g. if you delete a 1MB message and the counter increases by 100MB.
The question is whether you can install this experimental version on some less important machine that exhibits the problem. It is also probable this version would not enable any of your TB addons/extensions as there were massive changes in that area.

Sure, I'd be happy to do so and report the outcome. I can install any debug version on my workstation, disabled extensions are just OK. Thanks!
