M1rc2 loads normally, MOZILLA welcome page loads. Click on new bookmarks sees page failing to 
load(mostly)with a quick progress bar that then notes: ("Page loaded in n.n secs") Pages that DO load (very 
few) seem to load normally. Otherwise they are blank, or else the barest start of page rendering happens 
then, "Finito!"...-in n.n secs...am using the stripped down M1-just Navigator.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.load M1-Mozilla Welcome page loads usually.
2.click on another Bookmark
3. Throbber throbs for a few secs, progress bars does a quick zip to 'end', notes that 'Page loaded in n.n 
seconds, and all you have is blank page. sometimes requested page is in address window, sometimes not.

Actual Results:  Generlly a blank page. IF a page should successfully load, then its links will not go anywhere

Expected Results:  well...

I use Modern, havent tried Classic.

I'm seeing this in w98. I've tried with rc2 and build 2002051308 with same 
results as the reporter.

It first happened to me with rc1, but most of the time moz worked perfectly. 
Suddenly it would stop loading pages (or getting mail), but a simple restarting 
of mozilla solved the problem (for a while).

Now with rc2 and 2002051308 the problem is almost persistent. I'm only able to 
load a few pages from www.mozilla.org. Every other domain I've tried fails to 
load - the throbber keeps moving, the status bar says "Document: Done (x.xx 
secs)" and there is nothing more than a blank page.

I have unistalled all previous versions and reinstalled with a new profile and 
using the defaults, but the problem is still there.

Sorry for the spam. I'm posting with build 2002051308 right now.

Disabling the firewall (ZoneAlarmPro 3.0.118) solves the problem for me. Maybe
it's not a bug in mozilla but I've been always using that firewall and this
problem never happened before rc1.

After some more testing I found there is no need to disable the firewall
completely. It's only necessary to turn off "Privacy" for mozilla.exe in the
program list. That "privacy" feature blocks ads and "cookies from tracking
sites", as stated in the firewall's help files. 

Just for reference, IE works normally with "Privacy" set to ON.

I'm still not sure if this is a bug in mozilla or in the firewall... The fact is
that the firewall won't let mozilla work by default (it turns on "Privacy" for
any browser). Maybe you could add a line in the release notes if this is
relevant enough.

BTW, the reporter was on a Mac and most probably not using this firewall, but he
was having the same problem.
