We use the debug builds for debugging, and stripping things makes that nigh impossible
This is blocked on the fact that gcc probably has a bug that writes bad DWARF information because the filesize is so huge.  Read https://trac.torproject.org/projects/tor/wiki/doc/TorBrowser/Hacking/DebuggingOnWindows#SymbolsAppendix for more information
