From Bugzilla Helper:
User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.0rc2)
Gecko/20020510
BuildID: 2002051006

The left and middle table cells have some overlap.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Visit the URL
2. Look at the left and middle cells
3.

Actual Results: The cells overlap

Expected Results: The left cell should have been assigned more width so that
there was no overlap.

The overlap is worse in Netscape 6.2.2.
I don't see any obvious overlap, linux trunk build 2002-05-14-08. Any chance of
a screenshot that shows the problem? Attach it to this bug using
http://bugzilla.mozilla.org/attachment.cgi?bugid=144595&action=enter

No overlap observed when testing a current CVS build, Linux.
I can't reproduce the problem in the August 5th build (2002-08-05-05 1.0) under
OS X . Reporter, Is this still occuring in a newer nightly build ?
On 20020804, I can't see any problem. I think this
problem can be canceled.
*** Bug 161608 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. ***
Verified this bug (actually bug Bug 161608) in Mozilla build: 2002080614
NT 4.0 SP 6a with URLs indicated in bug 161608.
Navigating using the links produced by these URLs:
http://www.theserverside.com/resources/article.jsp?l=MonsonHaefel-Column1
http://www.theserverside.com/resources/article.jsp?l=MonsonHaefel-Column2
directly does not show immediately this bug.

But the first URL has a link: "Column 2: EJB 2.1 Web Services"
and
the second URL has a link: "Column 1: What's New in EJB 2.1"
on the top of these pages.
Using these links several times will show the problem as we see in
the attached picture to the bug 161608.
WFM, 2002-08-17-05 trunk Linux
WFM, 2002-08-18-08 trunk Windows 2000.
Verified this bug against build 2002081908.
It still exists EXACTLY AS DESCRIBED in my comment #11
WFM on 1/03/03 Trunk build, 07/22/02 Trunk build and on 6/11/02 Trunk builds.
Win XP.
Deepak or Vladimir, can you still reproduce the problem on a current trunk build?
In response to Additional Comment #15 From Carine Held 2003-01-15 15:17

Yes. I can reproduce it in Mozilla 1.2.1 in W2000 and just verified
with the latest build 2003011508 under WinNT 4.0 SP 6a.
To reproduce you can follow the steps described in my post:
Additional Comment #11 From Vladimir 2002-08-08 09:28.

In the next post I will attach the snapshot showing the problem.
You can also see the build ID on the picture.
Addition to Additional Comment #16 From Vladimir 2003-01-15 21:17

Installed Mozilla build 2003011508 under W2000 SP3. The bug is still
there and can be reproduced in the exact same way as described earlier.
worksforme in Mizilla 1.3b build 2003021008
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.3) Gecko/20030312

This bug surfices again in the Mozilla 1.3.
The URL is the same and the steps are the as indicated in Additional Comment #11
here.

This is another example of overlapping (the URL is on the picture).
Mozilla 1.4 RC1
Another overlapping example
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.7a) Gecko/20040110

I can confirm that the URL below now works for me. I have earlier reported the
exact same problem on overlapping on theserverside.com.

http://theserverside.com/home/thread.jsp?thread_id=13471
> http://www.izvestia.ru/forum/topic.cgi?forum=24&topic=66&start=160

That page has a table with a width of 720 px and a div positioned at 722px from
the left.

But the table's content doesn't fit inside 720px (at least not with the font
size I use), so it overlaps with the div.

I'm marking this bug worksforme, since no one can come up with an actual example
of it. Please file new clear bugs on problems you encounter.
