Crash Data

Using Thunderbird 60.0b5 on macOS 10.13.4, I get a crash during TB startup as soon as Lightning is enabled.

See crash report bp-20a8790b-ea25-43bc-8061-426a90180501
The user in bug 1456577 also crashed with this signature
Crash Signature: [@ calDateTime::SetNativeTime ]
Keywords: crash
Interestingly I don't crash if I uninstall Lightning (I tried the latest release candidate from http://archive.mozilla.org/pub/calendar/lightning/candidates/6.2b5-candidates/build1/mac/) and reset the pref "extensions.installedDistroAddon.{e2fda1a4-762b-4020-b5ad-a41df1933103}"
This signature is a topcrash for version 60 beta. Bob has had several crashes, eg bp-0c49de5e-7e9d-4811-b8a1-7ff610180423

Bob, can you speculate if your timezone service is up to snuff? See also bug 700827

Re my timezone service: maybe I have it configured improperly but I don't know. Seems to work everywhere else. If someone has a clue as to what might be the issue I can check it. I'm on an up to date Fedora 28, so it is definitely not old or obsolete. I hit most of those trying to get lightning with the beta. I finally got something working using a taskcluster build linked from Treeherder and I seem to be ok with installing the lightning and gdata extensions from the identical build.

Bob, Patrick,
What are you seeing these days?

I don't use macOS anymore. But my wife never had a crash with TB 60 or 68 and Lightning on macOS.

I haven't seen this in ages. I'm using the default lightning extension in Thunderbird Nightly 72 on Fedora 30. I recently installed gdata-provider into Nightly after editing the source to support 72.0 and still haven't seen any crashes related to this or if fact any others in over 3 weeks.
