I have noticed that this behaviour takes place when I install new version of FF Nightly, quit app and start it again.
I suspect the background autoupdate ('on' by default).
I tried to change the update settings in "Preferences", but since version of 19.05 it's impossible to get to this section.

This looks like it's a duplicate of Bug 1146783 and it's an older issue.
I could not reproduce the issue on the latest Nightly (2018-23-05).

Hello,
I marked this bug as a duplicate of Bug 1146783 because it sounds like it's the same issue, and that one is still open. Please have a look at the other bug and use it to add any additional info. If I made a mistake and you think they are different issues, please let me know. Thank you!

On behalf of localizers perhaps not able to test current FF for Android nightlies as well as to prevent the issue from making it to Beta, some action would be appreciated.
@Michael: are you able to test/verify by using both builds mentioned in bug 1464610?

@Ton
Of course, I'll test them asap, I'll post results on https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1464610
