It sounds like it should be possible to spoof as Chrome and get playback to work:

Note: we also have a mobile override for Bug 1338260, but that's just to get Sencha Touch to behave.

Oh, this bug was not linked to the shipping bug, so I missed that. In the past, I tried leaving the individual issues open until they are actually landed, but it's easy to miss some bugs. Will talk to Adam to make sure we make bug tracking part of the process we're establishing. :)
