From Bugzilla Helper: User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.0rc2) Gecko/20020510 BuildID: 2002051006 I have my Windows settings (right-click on desktop, Properties, Appearance tab) using a menu color of WHITE instead of BLACK. This should cause Mozilla's buttons to be rendered with white text instead of the default black (see Outlook for an example.) However, this is not happening. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Change Windows menu font color to something other than black 2. Observe behavior of other programs' toolbar buttons (IE, Outlook) 3. Mozilla's text color for the buttons should change, but it doesn't. Actual Results: Toolbar button text color remained black Expected Results: Button text should change to current MENU font color Also occurring with Home/Bookmarks/Quick Links toolbars. All text in toolbars should change to the default MENU font color set in Windows preferences.
I think this may be INVALID. It depends on the theme (skin) you use. Modern has its own background and colors, so it doesn't follow the Windows settings. If you use Classic, Mozilla's menu text color should change to match Windows' setting. At least it does on Win98.
Reporter: Is this a bug you see with the classic theme?
http://pages.simpli.biz/moz_bug.gif <-- screenshot of my desktop (funky colors due to gif compression) As you can see, IE6's "Links" and "Favorites" text is showing up properly in white, but Moz classic's are showing up in black, which is incorrect behavior.
In the screenshot I notice that in IE6 "File", "Edit" etc are black, while they are white in mozilla. Is that a separate setting you can do on Windows?
IE6's menus are gray because the window is not in focus. Notice that the titlebar has also "dimmed".
Toolbar button text is hard-coded as black. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 112580 ***
