STR: 1. Click focus to address bar. 2. Delete the contents of the address bar (with the Delete or Backspace or Ctrl+X keys). The address bar is now empty (except for the placeholder string "Search with $SEARCH_ENGINE or enter address"). 3. Click focus from address bar to the page or switch to a different tab. 4. Click focus back to the original tab's address bar. ACTUAL RESULT: The address bar is still empty: no URL, no site info (i) buttons, and no page action buttons. To restore the URL and buttons, you must click focus to the empty address bar and press the Esc key. See the attached screenshot. DESIRED RESULT: It would be convenient if an empty address bar's current URL was automatically restored when the address bar loses focus. This seems like an unusual corner case, but I have run into this papercut nearly every day for years when I copy URLs using Ctrl+X (leaving an empty address bar). I should probably use Ctrl+C to copy the URLs nondestructively, but pressing Ctrl+X is just faster for me to type, for whatever reason. :)
Similar to bug 1387777, or at least strictly related since that is about page action, and this is about the info panel.
