(Sorry if this is dup, couldn't find this in bugzilla.)
Not sure if this is related to tabs but currently I have several set. I also
have two windows on screen (2nd does not show/have tabs (I guess they are not
inherited to a new window?). When I am on the window with tabs and click on a
never before visted link, it opens a previously visted link/url. It seems to go
to the correct link transiently but then goes to the old/wrong url. If I hit
back and click the link again it goes to the right place.
For example, on the Mozilla Release Notes page (see URL:), if I click on "System
Requirements", I see the correct page for a short time. But in a tab I see
"Loading" then "Bugzilla is pondering your query" and then I see the last list
of bugs I searched for come up, which is not what I selected. If I hit back and
click "System Requirements" again, it goes there ok and stays there. I think the
Buzilla search was one of the last places I visted in the window without tabs.
In my "Tabbed Browsing" preferences I have all the boxes checked.
This is build win2k 2002050308. I also see the same thing on Linux 0.9.9 build
2002031209.

Yes we use the typical MS Proxy here. Have never seen this problem with old
netscape, IE, or mozilla until I tried using the tab feature the last few days.
Have observed that the problem seems to go away with just one Mozilla window open.

Shutdown moz on win2k. Restarted moz and tried to quickly reproduce the problem.
Could not. Then checked moz on linux box. Still has same problem there. Win and
Lin boxes are both on same network and proxy. Shutdown one of two moz windows on
linux. Problem went away there too with just one moz window. (Have not tried to
reproduce on linux.)

If you change your http settings to use HTTP/1.0, does that fix it? If so, then
this is a dupe of bug 97453 - MS's proxy server is broken.

Seem more like dup of bug 135116 . Will check on Tue. Has not happened at home
with no proxy. However, how does it explain that when I close one of the Moz
windows the problem stops?

It happened again. (The tabs were a red herring.) Opened several web sites in
separate windows. Could not get it to do it. Someone had mentioned that sidebar
might affect it. Selected site from sidebar history and closed sidebar. Now
every time I go to a never-before-visted link I get the site from the sidebar.
When I hit back it goes to the wanted site. Changed from http 1.1 to 1.0 and
made no difference. Then disabled keep-alive and it made no difference. (I hope
these don't really need a moz restart to take effect.)

Getting rid of additonal moz windows does not clear the problem. Still does it
with just one moz window.

Still does this on Rel 1.0 which I just installed from rpms.
Still looks like dup of bug 135116.
