Steps to reproduce:
- The first run with 1024x768 resolution.
Actual results:
Unable to see the full URL.
Expected results:
Typical URL can be seen the full with default settings.
How...
e.g. removing flexible spaces from default settings.

The example seems a little bit exagerated due to the Mozilla certificate, that looks like the major problem there.
Anyway, most of the users don't really care about urls past the origin (IIRC Safari only shows the origin).

I agree with Marco that the cert is the bigger offender here. The empty space in the toolbar is to help when dragging that window around and is by design, so this is a won't fix situation.
