With the work we're doing in Fission, it should be easier to change some "fundamental" properties of a tab during navigation. One place where we may be able to take advantage of this is with Container Tabs and the Facebook Container extension. I believe that it should be possible to change which container a load is happening in as it happens with the tools we're going to be creating. This would have the big advantage for the Facebook Container of avoiding some of the mess that comes along with removing & recreating tabs in the frontend during navigations. (NOTE: The depends on it a "maybe" thing - it may be possible to do this without needing all of the refactorings we want to do there ^_^)

I closed bug 1509141 as a dupe of this bug, though Nika is no longer sure if allowing container changes during a load is a good idea.
