User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/68.0.3440.75 Safari/537.36 Steps to reproduce: I enabled junk mail controls and checked all address books as sources for non-junk sender addresses. Actual results: Thunderbird 52.9.1 64-bit shunted to the junk folder inbound messages from about half a dozen senders who send messages weekly, without marking them as junk. I pressed shift-j and selected all of them and marked them as not junk. Tbird moved them to inbox, and then immediately shunted them back to the junk folder. Sender addresses are in gmail and personal address books. Expected results: Tbird should not have shunted the messages to the junk folder, and after I marked them as not junk, and Tbird moved them to the inbox, it should NOT have moved them to junk again.

This sounds like a Yahoo IMAP server, can you confirm?
Can you reproduce with Thunderbird 68?

Apparently the developer solved the problem. It does not happen in Thunderbird 68.

This was fixed in bug 1260059 if the server is yahoo. Something you did not confirm.
