TB 60 message header pane eats another 4-6px or so of my screen vertical estate without any real benefit. Please don't. Please revert to the same height as in TB 52.
Here's how it happened:
- increased height of toolbar separator between [> Send] button and [A Spelling] button (probably with good intentions, but imo this isn't worth it, and there was nothing amiss in TB 52, and nobody ever complained - we just have to live with the fact that there are different types of separators around on that bar)
-> increased height of composition toolbar
-> increased height of entire message header pane
-> even more loss of screen real estate (due to the peculiarities of our header layout, it has always been BIG, so this makes it worse again)

More precisely, increased height of the entire composition UI at the top - maybe there's other factors contributing?

Summary: Composition's message header pane just got bigger - please don't → Composition Toolbar and overall UI height just got bigger - please don't

The toolbar was too narrow to look good. Add the Contacts button to the toolbar and check it. The space between the button and the border is 1px, especially when you hide the menubar. The actual design makes the toolbars over the windows, main-, AB- and composer window, equal.

Fair enough, I see. Aesthetics vs. screen real estate, and aesthetics won. Let's hope we won't do it again, because the overall vertical space eaten by our composition UI is really a massive chunk, and currently no other ways e.g. of collapsing it to have more space for composing message body.
